Located approximately 30 minutes north of Canberra in the small rural town of Murrumbateman, Clonakilla is one of the great success stories of Australian wine and home to some of the most impressive red wines made anywhere in the country.

The 2022 Clonakilla Hilltops Shiraz is another bright, aromatic release with plenty of cherry and plum notes, with the palate delivering lovely balance and a subtle intensity highlighted by dark berry fruit flavours. Another ripping Hilltops Shiraz that is sure to be popular. 

“93 Points. I’ve always been partial and I’d say that this is a very good release. Mint, peppercorn, sweet spice, salted nuts and floral notes run into fresh red cherry and plum flavours. There’s a smoky meatiness at play here too and while it’s not overt I’d also say that it’s a key part of this wine’s shtick. Tannin is fine, length is sound, oak is integrated and all the components feel as though they’re pulling in the one direction.
